ALS Grants

Assisted Communication Technology Grant

Kimberly has used SmartNav technology since she could no longer operate a standard mouse and keyboard. SmartNav has been a huge help, allowing her to use the computer without fatigue. It has made such a difference. Since insurance does not generally cover SmartNav, the foundation created a grant to supply ALS patients with Kimberly’s favorite assistive device.

With the allocated funds and a generous price offered by Natural Point, the foundation purchases the units and Natural Point ships directly to the grant recipient. Unfortunately, the system offered can only run on Windows. If you or someone you know would like one, please complete the grant application. If you don’t hear back from us within a few days, please follow up to make sure we received your application. We hope to help many more families living with ALS.
