Assisted Communication Technology Grant

Kimberly has used SmartNav technology since she could no longer operate a standard mouse and keyboard. SmartNav has been a huge help, allowing her to use the computer without fatigue. It has made such a difference. Since insurance does not generally cover SmartNav, the foundation created a grant to supply ALS patients with Kimberly’s favorite assistive device.

With the allocated funds and a generous price offered by Natural Point, the foundation has purchased a number of devices to date and has more available. If you or someone you know would like one, please send an e-mail to kimberly@kimkimfoundation.org with your name and address. Also include your date of diagnosis and the name of your primary care physician. We hope to help many more families living with ALS.
